Bourbon Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin Pie is the quintessential Fall dessert! The seasonal spices along with the pumpkin-based filling is the perfect after dinner treat for the holidays or anytime you get a sweet tooth. This pie is an absolute cinch to make and takes no time to put together! The standout ingredient in this recipe is of course bourbon. The smooth, smokey flavor intensifies the flavors to make for a truly decadent dessert!

You can use frozen pie crust or go the extra mile and make crust from scratch!
Poke holes in the bottom of the crust so it doesn’t puff up during baking.
Bourbon is rich in flavor and adds a kick to desserts!
Allow to cool before slicing if you can wait that is!

Bourbon Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 9 in deep dish pie crust thawed if using frozen
  • 1 15oz can pumpkin puree
  • 3 eggs lightly beaten
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon allspice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 1 ½ tablespoons bourbon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Poke holes in the bottom of the pie crust with a fork.
  2. Add all the ingredients together in a large bowl and whisk together until well mixed. Pour the batter in the pie crust.
  3. Bake for 1 hour until the pie is set and a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool before slicing.
